Hertfordshire Action on Disability (HAD)
Delivering innovative affordable, practical services to disabled people for 50 years!
HAD has been providing practical services and support to disabled people for 50 years.
2008 is our golden anniversary and as well as celebrating with a number of special fundraising events listed below, we are looking to expand the services provided at The Terry Stevens Centre (TSC).
The Centre already provides a wide range of products for disabled people, their families and carers. Many of the products are listed in our on-line catalogue; just click on the link below.
But we want to improve.
We want the TSC to be recognised as the ‘John Lewis’ of equipment provision. To help us achieve this we are launching a SPECIAL COMPETITION to find a name for the service. If you can come up with the right name you will will 2 tickets to HAD’s special 50th anniversary Elizabethan Dinner at Hatfield House on October 25.

Meanwhile you are more than welcome to come along to one or more of the following events:
Spring Garden Walk on Sunday February 24 at 13 Lemsford Village. 2pm – 4.30pm. Take a stroll in Edna Stephens’ magnificent garden and enjoy a nice cup of tea and piece of cake too!
Easter Egg Hunt and Raffle on Easter Monday, March 24 at 13 Lemsford Village. 2pm – 4.30pm
Jazz Night on Saturday June 21 at 13 Lemsford Village, from 7.00 pm BRING YOUR OWN PICNIC and listen to Bob Thomas and the Thomcats and Liquorice Allsax
Dinner/Dance on Saturday September 13 at Broxbourne Civic Hall. 6.00pm, for 6.30pm. Dancing to the Joe Loss Orchestra
Golf Day on Friday September 19 at Mill Green Golf Club, from 9am. Download the entry form here
