Jazz on the Island
Here's the forecast for Saturday June 21... it's going to be cool!
That’s when HAD’s annual Jazz on the Island evening takes place at 13 Lemsford Village, Welwyn Garden City.
As ever, Bob Thomas and the Thomcats will be whipping up a storm with their nostalgic mix of trad jazz and New Orleans standards.
This year they will be joined by Hitchin-based saxophone quartet Liquorice Allsax (pictured). Featuring Lucinda Rowe on baritone and alto, Sharon Korek on soprano and alto, Rosemary Taylor on alto and Simon Perry on tenor they will perform a set of easy listening favourites.
The music starts at 7pm and don’t forget to bring your picnic.
