Who we are

Hertfordshire Action on Disability (HAD) is based at the Woodside Centre, Welwyn Garden City, near to the QE2 Hospital.

Our full address is: The Woodside Centre, The Commons, Welwyn Garden City, Herts, AL7 4DD.

The organisation was set up in 1958 by the then Welfare Department of the County Council to supply equipment to disabled people. HAD has grown a great deal in the intervening years and today are proud of the services we offer that help Hertfordshire’s disabled people maintain their independence and keep on the move.

History
