Tara's sweet surprise!
A family-sized chocolate egg found a good home after HAD's Easter raffle.
We raffled the giant egg at our annual egg hunt on Easter Monday.
The egg, donated by Woolmer Green chocalatier Lessiters, was won by Tara Covill of…Woolmer Green!
After hearing the happy news Tara, partner John Dunn and daughters Morgan, 5 and Sinead, 2, along with grandmother Olive Edwards, picked the egg up from HAD Director and event organiser Edna Stephens’ Lemsford Village home.
And, as you can see from the picture, it took the whole family to lift the 10kg egg!
Over 200 visitors braved snowy weather and helped raise over £600. Other raffle winners were Angela Giblin, Dawn Dorman, Catherine Hogan, Margaret Maslin, Jon Banerjee, Derek Holden, Bob Thomas, Mike Bottomley, Nick Stephens and Mrs Howard.
Big thanks to WGC chocolatiers Natalie Chocolates who donated 300 mini eggs for the day.
