50th anniversary fundraising...

HAD celebrates its golden anniversary this year – 2008 – and we've planned some special events to mark the occasion. We hope you will come and join us and help us celebrate in style.

On Saturday September 13, 2008 we will be holding an Anniversary Dinner/Dance at Broxbourne Civic Hall.

Music will come from the legendary Joe Loss Orchestra and tickets are £40 each.

The following month – on Saturday October 25 – The Old Palace at Hatfield House will be the venue for an Elizabethan-style banquet. Tickets are £60 each, or £55 if booked before August 2008.

We will also be holding a special 50th anniversary golf day at Mill Green Golf Club on Friday September 19.

Helping Hertfordshire's disabled people maintain their independence and keep on the move ... These two chaps are making a song and dance about this month's charity fundraising dinner/dance. Hatfield estate agent Paul Mather enjoyed a VIP visit to this year’s Wimbledon tennis championships. Images of Herts is a photo competition open to all photographers, professional or amateur, and aims to raise £10,000 for HAD by donating the £10 entry fees to us. Nicky Giddens is swapping the cat-walk for a long walk in October. The weather might have been a bit wet but the music was cool at HAD’s fourth annual jazz night on June 21.
