Wheel Appeal!
Matt Miller and Daniella Ingham were sent to Coventry in October.
They took part in the city’s second annual Lady Godiva half-marathon.
The couple took to the 13.1 mile road course in self-propelled wheelchairs and raised over £800 for HAD.
“It’s was tough because there were a few hills on the course but I managed to complete the course in just over three hours,” said Matt, whose lightweight wheelchair has been supplied by Staffordshire-based company RGK Life.
Daniella, the only disabled competitor that took part, completed over eight miles but then had to withdraw. “A bus picked me up because I was not up to speed,” she said. “I was a bit annoyed as I could have finished. Even so, I really enjoyed the day and I’ll be back next year for another try!”
Matt runs the Mobility Centre and Daniella is a Receptionist/Administrator.
