Marty's wild about Rotary walk!

4 January 2018
A popular annual charity walk is supporting HAD this year and has the backing of local rock star Marty Wilde.Marty, who lives in Tewin, is the patron of the Welwyn Garden City Rotary Walk and will start the event, along with borough mayor Lynne Sparks, on Sunday, April 29.

The walk will also welcome fun runners and is organised by the Rotary Clubs of WGC and Hatfield. The event starts from 9am at the Campus West car park in Welwyn Garden City.

There are two routes to choose from, 11 or 6.5 miles, taking in attractive countryside and woodlands around the town.Honorary Rotarian Terry Mitchinson said: “This is a popular event and one which everyone enjoys. We hope it will be a record-breaker with more walkers and runners than ever before joining in the fun.”

It costs £10 to enter. Entry fees will be distributed among the four headline charities, chosen Rotary worthy causes and go towards running costs.Register here. For more details email
