These youngsters mean business!

Hard working students at a WGC school have celebrated the end of summer term is style.

More than 50 year six youngsters at Commonswood Primary School  raised £800 during a recent enterprise week.

Not only did they raise enough money to pay for their school year books, they donated an extra £500 split between their next door neighbours the charity HAD and the school's PTA.

Their form teacher Paula Spencer was understandably delighted with their effort: “I think this is a record amount. The children worked really well as a team and to be able to help HAD was an added bonus.”

HAD celebrate their 60th anniversary next year and are pleased the school supported them: “We have a big year of community fundraising and awareness events planned for 2018,” HAD's fundraiser Paul Bishop explained. “We're looking for local schools, businesses and clubs to support us and it's great that Commonswood have have got the ball rolling already!”
