Local volunteers raise Christmas funds
4 January 2012
Local volunteers Tony Griffin and Gay Delasalle have continued to support Hertfordshire Action on Disability during the build-up to the Christmas festivities for 2011. Their tireless work in raising funds to help secure our future is making a huge difference to our charity and the disabled people we help. Once again the dynamic duo have partnered up with two local public houses, The Ludwick Arms and The Hollybush.
The patrons of The Ludwick Arms raised a fantastic £262 in just one month. Equally fabulous was £283 from The Hollybush. This is an amazing achievement so close to Christmas when we know the community has struggled to make ends meet. Once again, it highlights the real sense of belonging and pride that the public have in their local community.
We at Hertfordshire Action on Disability must thank the people of Welwyn Garden City for their generosity. However, it is down to Gay and Tony's personal investment of their time and effort that has produced a donation of £545 for us.
So from everyone here at The Woodside Centre, A HUGE THANK YOU and we hope that you will continue to support us during 2012!
