Day Centre re-locates to The Woodside Centre
22 May 2011
Nineteen people with mild to moderate learning disabilities re-located to the Woodside Centre in early May.
The group was welcomed by not only HAD but also Herts Society for the Blind and Herts Hearing Advisory Service who also operate from the Herts CC premises.
Assistant Manager Thandi Sithole was keen to embrace this new partnership:"We are very pleased to be associated with HAD and keen to develop lasting ties with such an experienced and sympathetic organisation."
Thandi and her team of Maureen Cooper, Aimi Mansell, Sue Harrison and Charles Hazlewood will be looking after up to 15 people on any one weekday.
HAD Chief Executive Annabelle Waterfield said: "This is yet another example of the Woodside Centre encouraging good partnerships. It confirms that the venue is a lead player in disability services."
