Come and support HAD's Pre-Xmas Arts and Crafts Exhibition
11 August 2011
Local art lovers are encouraged to support a special HAD pre-Christmas fundraiser - an art exhibition.
The exhibition takes place on December 2, 3 and 4 at 1-5 Park Street, Old Hatfield.
Private viewings will take place on Friday December 2, between 7-9pm with public viewings between 11-6pm on the Saturday and Sunday. An entrance fee of £5 will entitle you to enter the raffle which will feature works of art donated by the artists. HAD will also be receiving 30% of all sales.
Renowned wildlife photographer Julian Cox has already agreed to exhibit. London-based Jules grew up in Dorset and was inspired by his father, a keen ornithologist.
He's taken pictures all over the world including Africa, the Arctic, India and Borneo. His picture of a family of brown bears is pictured above and that's Jules himself at the foot of the page.
Jamaican artist and poet John Lyons is another early participant.
Organiser Edna Stephens is keen to attract local artists, sculptors, jewellers and craftspeople to take part. "This is something a little bit different and we want to include as many local exhibitors as possible."
So, come and join us and show off your talents and help HAD at the same time. Just fill in this Exhibitors Form and return it to Edna Stevens.
If you want to take part or need more information contact Edna on 01707 321802.
