Clubbing Together

Good sport Norma Reynolds has clubbed together with colleagues at East Herts Golf Club and raised over £1600.00 for HAD.

Norma is the past ladies' captain at the club and also a keen bridge player. By combining her two past-times she managed to raise this great total.

Norma. who lives in Puckeridge, devised a set of bridge bidding cards that made £400 while a bridge day at the club raised almost £1,000. The rest came from a golf competition.

'I wanted to support a local charity and HAD was the perfect choice,' Norma explained. 'Obviously supporting them in their 50th year was great fun and good friend and bridge colleague Margaret McCreadie is also a Director.'

Norma, who took part in our golf day at Mill Green a couple of years ago, is pictured right presenting the large cheque to Margaret.

Now Norma has turned her attention to trees. She produced a calendar featuring 12 different pictures of her club and raised £800 - with nearly £200 going to HAD. "The club is well-known for its variety of beautiful trees and I thought this was a good way to highlight them," Norma explained.
